Horses For Heroes

Bit-By-Bit’s Horses for Heroes Veteran’s Program Mission is to assist military veterans & their families through services provided by NARHA instructors and licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists by providing equine assisted activities and therapies. We strive to repay these brave warriors by helping them heal from & cope with the effects of war, injury, and disease through the gifts of the horse.

To accomplish this mission, we offer rehabilitation services for Veterans of any age who can benefit from the program and by being involved with equines. We have partnered with the Miami Veteran’s Administration and the Disabled American Veterans Organization (DAV) to ensure quality, compassionate, and highly specialized help to our servicemen and women.

Bit-By-Bit fundraises each year to provide therapeutic riding services free of charge to our Heroes. We host 2 events: an annual Horses For Heroes Golf Tournament & a “Kentucky Derby Day” Festival to help raise funds to cover the cost of the veteran’s care.

How Can I help?

At Bit-By-Bit we are currently seeking individual and corporate sponsors who can assist us financially to repay our beloved soldiers. Please click on our DONATE button if you wish to participate and simply note that you would like the contribution to go to a veteran & 100% of your donation will go towards the Horses For Heroes Program.
We offer private and group sessions for our vets at our Sand & Spurs facility in Pompano Beach. Volunteers who can commit weekly are needed to sidewalk next to our veteran riders, help tack up the horses, & perform general barn duties. Please email us or call 954-802-8874 if you wish to volunteer.

If you are a veteran who would like to apply to our program, please download our Horses For Heroes Registration Forms and call us to make an appointment. We will be happy to hear from you!
