Our Horses for Heroes Veteran Program & Mission

Bit-By-Bit’s Horses for Heroes Veteran’s Program Mission is to assist military veterans & their families through services provided by PATH/NARHA instructors and licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists by providing equine assisted activities and therapies. We strive to repay these brave warriors by helping them heal from & cope with the effects of war, injury, and disease through the gifts of the horse.

To accomplish this mission, we offer rehabilitation services for Veterans of any age who can benefit from the program and by being involved with equines. We have partnered with the Miami Veteran’s Administration and the Disabled American Veterans Organization (DAV) to ensure quality, compassionate, and highly specialized help to our servicemen and women.

Bit-By-Bit fundraises each year to provide therapeutic riding services free of charge to our Heroes. We host 2 events: an annual Horses For Heroes Golf Tournament & a “Kentucky Derby Day” Festival to help raise funds to cover the cost of the veteran’s care. Click on the FUNDRIASERS tab above for more event information.

Currently we hold our Horses For Heroes Program Schedule at our Sand & Spurs Equestrian Park facility in Pompano Beach :

  •  Fridays for group lessons
  •  Individual or private therapies are held throughout the week by appointment.
  • If you would like to attend or if you are medical worker (doctor, therapist, counselor, social worker. etc.) who would like to schedule your veteran group, please call Susan March @ (954)-802-8874.
